FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: August 8th, 2025: 9:00am EST
Red Deer, Canada, August 8th, 2025 – Rebel Vac Systems (“Rebel”), a leading manufacturer of hydro-excavation and industrial vacuum trucks, is pleased to announce strategic acquisition of CCI Industrial Coatings Ltd. (“CCI”), effective August 1st, 2025. Based in Red Deer, Alberta, CCI is a trusted provider of industrial coatings and surface protection solutions.
The acquisition strengthens Rebel’s vertical integration strategy by bringing specialized industrial coatings capabilities in-house. With expertise in abrasive blasting, powder coating, and protective finishes for heavy-duty industrial equipment, CCI enhances Rebel’s ability to control quality, reduce lead times, and offer tailored finishing solutions across its product lines; and further expand upon its service division’s offerings.

Originally founded within the Canalta Controls ecosystem and later established as an independent entity, CCI has built a strong reputation across Alberta for its expertise in industrial services, infrastructure solutions and the agriculture sector. The company is recognized for its unwavering commitment to quality, precision and reliability. Values that closely align with Rebel’s own design and manufacturing philosophy.
“Bringing paint and coating capabilities in-house has been a strategic priority for Rebel, since joining in 2023,” said Curtis Colbary, President & Chief Executive Officer of Rebel Vac Systems. “The addition of CCI to the Rebel family allows us to strengthen quality control, increase production efficiency, and deliver even greater value to our customers across all markets we serve. Steve and the entire CCI team bring exceptional technical expertise and a proven track record of excellence that perfectly complements our long-term vision for innovation and growth. Their commitment to precision and reliability aligns seamlessly with Rebel’s core values, and we are excited to welcome them into our organization as we continue building a stronger, more comprehensive solution for our customers.”
As part of the integration, CCI will be rebranded as ‘Rebel Industrial Coatings’ in the coming months and will operate as a division of Rebel Vac Systems, continuing to serve both its longstanding customers and Rebel’s expanding client base. The company will maintain its existing leadership team and skilled workforce, ensuring continuity for employees and customers alike.
By combining the expertise of both organizations, Rebel is poised to deliver enhanced value through streamlined operations, improved product durability, and seamless collaboration across teams. The integration process is being executed with careful planning to minimize any disruption to ongoing operations, with Rebel and CCI management working in close coordination to ensure a smooth transition and effective alignment of resources.
