Introducing the Rebel Renegade, our latest model engineered to meet the evolving demands of modern excavation and utility operations, developed with a focus on efficiency, compliance, and user-friendly features.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: June 9th, 2025: 9:00am EST

Red Deer, Canada, June 9th, 2025 – Rebel Vac Systems, a leading manufacturer of hydro-excavation and industrial vacuum trucks, is proud to introduce the Rebel Renegade, its latest model engineered to meet the evolving demands of modern excavation and utility operations. Developed with a focus on operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and user-friendly features, the Renegade represents a significant advancement in Rebel’s lineup. This new offering is designed to provide operators with enhanced payload capacity, improved maneuverability, and reliable performance across a variety of job site conditions. The Renegade is now available to order.

The Renegade introduced a hoisting-style design to Rebel’s suite of hydro-excavation trucks, offering an alternative configuration for operators who are familiar with or prefer this style of equipment. This new model delivers practical advantages such as improved legal payload capacity, efficient debris offloading, and lower overall height for better access in restricted environments. Available in two configurations: R2 (12 yard) and R1 (14.5 yard), the Renegade provides flexibility to meet different job site demands.

“Slope floor and hoisting-tank designs both have their respective place in the market; and we’ve had a lot of success with our slope floor design, but we’ve always known there was a demand we weren’t fully servicing,” said Brayden Olmstead, Design & Development Manager at Rebel Vac Systems. “Expanding our product line with this design felt like a natural next step, not just to round out our lineup, but to better service the broader market. Our goal with the Renegade was simple, to make the toughest, most serviceable and operator friendly truck we could, with a well-thought-out layout. From the feedback we’re getting, I feel we have hit the mark.”

As a trusted leader in the industry, Rebel has built a strong reputation for delivery high-quality, durable, and operator focused equipment. The launch of the Renegade reinforces the company’s commitment to innovation and excellence in the excavation and infrastructure solutions.

“The launch of the Renegade is an important achievement and step-forward for our organization; and the result of more than a year’s worth of focused development,” said Curtis Colbary, CEO of Rebel Vac Systems. “Our team has worked diligently to create a truck that pushes the boundaries of efficiency, compliance and performance, while delivering exactly what our partners have been requesting. This new design is an integral part of our growth strategies, allowing us to expand into new markets and provide both new and existing customers with broader equipment solutions and optionality; addressing a long-standing need. I’m extremely proud of what our team has built and believe this will become a staple unit within the industry.”

With the release of the Renegade, Rebel becomes one the few OEMs in North America capable of offering a complete range of vacuum truck configurations, including both Code (Dangerous Goods) and Non-Code options, in various designs. It's a continuation of the company’s commitment to serve the full spectrum of excavation and industrial needs, and evolve along side its customers and partners.

The Renegade is available for direct purchase, rental-purchase options, and lease through Rebel’s affiliate partners in both Canada and the United States. For more information contact your local Rebel representative.
